Terms of Use
The terms on which you use this website. They are not the terms of any contract for services — those are agreed separately and in writing.
1. About these terms
This website is operated by River Energy & Renewables Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 13898365. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
These terms cover use of the website only. They are not the terms of any contract for energy procurement, supply, design or installation — those are agreed separately and in writing before any work begins, and they take precedence over anything on this site.
2. Using this website
This is a business-to-business website intended for people acting for an organisation. You may read, print and share our pages for your own business purposes. You must not:
- use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- post or transmit anything defamatory, offensive or infringing;
- introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system;
- scrape, harvest or systematically extract content, or reproduce it commercially, without our written permission.
3. The information on this site
We write our pages carefully and keep them current, but the content is general information about our services. It is not advice, and it is not a quotation or an offer to contract. Energy markets, grant schemes, regulations and product specifications change frequently. Always confirm the position with us before making a decision.
Case studies describe specific projects with their own circumstances. The figures in them are what those clients achieved and are not a promise of what you will achieve.
4. Energy Audit
Applying for a free energy audit gives you an indicative estimate based on the figures you provide. It is a guide to whether something is worth exploring — not a quotation, a survey result or a guarantee of savings. Real figures depend on your consumption profile, site conditions, tariffs and market prices at the time, and always follow a proper assessment.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, layout, graphics, code, photography selection and the River name and logo — is owned by or licensed to River, and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce it commercially without our written permission.
Third-party names, logos and accreditation marks shown on this site remain the property of their respective owners and are used to identify those organisations.
6. Links to other sites
Where we link to another website, it is because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites, do not endorse their content, and accept no responsibility for them. Check their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Availability
We try to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice. If something on the site is broken, please tell us at hello@riveruk.co.uk.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, and because this site is provided for business use, we exclude liability for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, and any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or anything you rely on from it.
9. Privacy
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. This site sets no cookies — see the Cookie Policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you access this site from outside the UK, you are responsible for compliance with your own local law.
11. Changes
We may amend these terms. The review date at the foot of this page shows when they were last checked; please look at them from time to time.
